Plenty of Good Room: Week 3
One of the greatest gifts God gives us is the gift of one another.
Weekly Reflection: Plenty Good Room for Love
This past weekend, we held a gathering for one of the most joyful traditions of the year, the Blessing of the Animals in honor of St. Francis of Assisi. From energetic puppies and faithful senior dogs to a curious cat on a shoulder, we were reminded of God’s abundant love reflected throughout all creation.
Our stewardship theme, “Plenty Good Room”, came to life as families, friends, and pets gathered together in gratitude. The blessing was more than a celebration of animals. It was a reminder that God’s love is expansive, welcoming, and without limits. Just as we open our hearts to the creatures entrusted to our care, we are called to extend that same compassion and kindness to one another.
St. Francis taught that all creation reveals something of God’s goodness. As we watched wagging tails, shared smiles, and moments of connection, we saw firsthand that there is indeed plenty of room for love in our community, in our homes, and in God’s kingdom.
This week, may we carry that spirit with us. May we care for God’s creation, show compassion to our neighbors, and remember that every act of kindness creates more space for love to grow.
“Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.”
Through love and care for all God’s creatures, may we continue to be instruments of that peace in the world.
