Blessing of the Eldergarten

The Blessing of the Garden in the Episcopal Church is a liturgical service, often held during Rogation Days or spring, to sanctify soil, seeds, and human labor. It highlights creation care, praying for fruitful harvests and environmental stewardship, often featuring outdoor prayer and community dedication of community gardens or church green spaces.
We will gather at St. Matthew’s Eldergarten, located at 5901 4th Ave, for a short ceremony to bless the Eldergarten for the coming year.
