Keys to Kenosha: Self-guided Tours
Have you ever stopped to admire the architecture of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church? Now’s your chance to step inside and discover the history, craftsmanship, and stories behind this Kenosha landmark!
On Saturday, November 7, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, St. Matthew’s is opening its doors for Keys to Kenosha, a community-wide celebration of our city’s rich history and architecture.
Built with limestone from Joliet, Illinois, and Racine, Wisconsin, St. Matthew’s features striking Gothic Revival architecture. Take in the beautifully detailed stonework, steeply gabled roof, paired stained-glass windows, and distinctive square tower with its clock and castellated parapet.
Enjoy a self-guided tour at your own pace, while our wonderful Sips & Scripture ladies welcome visitors, answer questions, and serve refreshments and delicious desserts. Whether you’re a longtime Kenosha resident or discovering St. Matthew’s for the first time, we invite you to come inside, explore, and experience a piece of our community’s history.
